FAQ
Answers to All Your Inquiries
WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED COMMITMENTS?
...NONE! Being a member of ski club does not require any commitments. Our club does not expect its members to attend a certain number of events or activities. Cornell can be a stressful place and we don't want anyone to feel obligated to come to anything. We encourage our members to come to whatever events they choose to.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU MEET?
We have weekly meetings at 5 pm that are usually 15-20 minutes in length. All members are welcome to come and discuss upcoming events, ideas for the club, and get dinner with us after the meeting.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
Membership to ski club consists of a yearly fee of $30. This money is used for our events, food at tailgates, and the yearly celebration. Check out the Membership Information page to learn more about the perks of being a member. Please stay tuned for information about membership for the 2020-2021 year.
HOW DO I BECOME A JUNIOR OFFICER?
Junior Officers are members of ski club who are interested in taking a more active role in the club. JOs are integral to our club, they assist with or run ski trips, help promote the club, and organize fun events on campus. Many JOs go on to become executive members. Becoming a JO is a great thing to do if you are a new to the club and want to work with a tight-knit group of snow lovers. We expect JOs to attend most of the meetings and assist with tabling.
